Family-Owned. Vinyl-Focused. Local.
We repair vinyl pools — and only vinyl pools — for owners across the Western Carolinas.
Our Story
Pool Patchers was founded by Joanne Trout, and it's a family business through and through. Joanne and her family performed vinyl pool repair in other states before relocating to Hickory, NC. After years of active duty service, they're now bringing that hands-on experience to the Western Carolinas.
She's backed by her husband, Daniel Trout — a retired U.S. Navy Senior Chief and EOD diver. That underwater training is the heart of how we work: most repairs happen below the waterline, our team has PADI and TDI certifications, and patching a liner at the bottom of your pool — without draining it — is second nature to us.
We started for a simple reason: too many owners get quoted for a full liner replacement when a well-done repair would add years of life at a fraction of the cost. So we do one thing — vinyl liner repair — and nothing else. That focus is how we stay genuinely good at it, and how we give you an honest answer about what your pool actually needs.
We're registered, insured, family-run, and back our repairs with a one-year warranty. We carry both general liability and workers' compensation coverage — the second one matters to you as much as to us, because it means you're not the one exposed if someone gets hurt working at your pool. We use heavy-duty commercial adhesives made to bond underwater and source matching vinyl through our supplier partners, so most patches blend right in.
