Pool Leak Detection in Hickory, NC

If your vinyl pool is losing water, the source is often a liner leak — and dye testing pinpoints exactly where, so repair can start the same visit. Registered and family-owned, our PADI- and TDI-certified team works underwater to find and fix liner leaks with minimal disruption. We use dye testing and systematic water-loss analysis to locate the source precisely, rather than guessing.

Service Options

Dye Testing

We inject colored dye near suspected leak sites. Water movement pulls the dye directly to any opening in the liner — giving us a definitive location with no guesswork.

Bucket Test

A simple bucket test compares your pool's water loss against normal evaporation to confirm a real leak before we start — and we run it again after the repair as a quality check that the leak is fully sealed.

Equipment Inspections

We inspect the skimmer, return fittings, light housing, and all vinyl-contact fittings for leaks and seal failures. Missing gaskets or cracked face plates are common culprits.

Plumbing Assessments

If your water loss points to the underground plumbing (pipes, main drain, returns) rather than the liner, we refer you to a licensed plumber. We do not perform plumbing work ourselves.

This item is handled by our trusted local partners. We make the introduction.

Pressure Testing

Need a standalone pressure test to confirm plumbing integrity before a home sale or insurance claim? We perform pressure testing in-house and provide written results.

Why Catch a Leak Early?

  • Even a small leak can lose hundreds of gallons per day — dramatically increasing your water bill.
  • Saturated ground under the liner erodes the pool's sand base and can cause the liner to shift or wrinkle.
  • Water loss from a fitting leak or skimmer gap can pull the liner off the bead track, causing costly secondary damage.

Once a leak is located, most can be repaired immediately. Learn more about when to repair vs. replace your liner, or see our vinyl liner repair service for what happens next.
